Email marketing is a great tool to generate a steady online income. If that’s something that you do but aren’t seeing any results you probably designed it in a wrong way.
Below I listed the 5 main reasons why your email marketing might not be working!

1.You don’t have useful information:
You don’t use your emails to talk about anything useful. No one is interested in what you write as the readers don’t learn anything new.
2.You just want to sell:
If you want to make money the first thing you have to do is gain the trust of your readers before you start offering different services and/or products. Note the following rule: The more you give, the more you get.
3.You don’t build trust with your subscribers:
Every once in a while we have to send out emails through which we want to communicate with our readers. We can use them to share our own experience.
We have to show them that we do understand them and want to help them and ask them to share their own experience.
4.Your emails are often filtered into the spam folder:
The main email marketing rule is to never buy email addresses or gain them on different websites as your emails can then end up in the spam folder.
We should collect all of our emails through the website by using a form that we set up on our blog.
Our emails can also end up in the spam folder if we often use the following words in our emails:
Dear friend, free, offer, click here, buy, order, shop, money returns, limited offer, income, money, risk free, revenue, working from home, the best price, cheap, discount, credit card, loans, save money, success, increase your sales, billions of dollars, million, 100% guaranteed, you’re the winner, jackpot, you were chosen, a great offer.
We shouldn’t use such words too often especially in the email titles.
5.All of your emails are badly structured:
-You don’t have a plan with writing emails. You don’t know what you want to write about so everything looks just like a big mess.
-You don’t have any writing ideas and don’t know the niche you’re in well enough. Your emails are longer than 250 words and boring so no one seems to want to read them.
-You include too many images and links which makes people not want to read your emails.
-You don’t include relevant content but just content that doesn’t interest anyone.
-At the beginning you don’t explain what the subscribers will get from you or you promise things that you never really deliver.
-You use your emails just for promotions and nothing else while you mostly offer low quality products and services. In other case you may be offering good services but your content is not good enough so people don’t want to check the offer.
-You email titles are boring and no one wants to open them. Statistics show that 33% of people open their emails based on the title alone.
6.You don’t know how to take care of your email list:
-You’re not getting any new subscribers onto your mailing list. You don’t work on optimizing your blog or on some good advertising. To gain online visitors you don’t even use Facebook groups.
– Your blog and email marketing talk about weight loss and fitness, however people joining your email list are not interested in the theme at all.
– You send your emails out too often which can completely destroy you. You should know people don’t have enough time to just read your emails. You have to know that no one wants to have 30 unread emails at the end of the month.
7.You don’t offer anything in exchange for their email:
Many bloggers make this mistake. They decide to, in exchange for visitor’s emails, offer only free tips which is most often not enough. We have to give our visitors the right reason for them to give up their email address.
We have to offer a free e-book that teaches them everything they want to know about a certain theme.
And that’s everything I have to say…
There are many things we have to do if we want our email marketing to be successful.
It is worth working on it as it allows us to generate a good long-term income. Our email marketing can become fully automated. With the right marketing design, we can get people to respond to us – readers will be more than happy to open our emails and will read them regularly.
That means that every email received from that point on can be worth 12-24 dollars per year which is the reason why it is worth working so hard!
